How do Easy Mobiles bill?

All bills are sent out on the 4th or the 5th of every month. The money will be direct debited from your bank account or your credit card* on the 12th of every month. Whichever was provided at the time or setting up.

*All visa and master card transactions have a 1.5% surcharge and Amex is 3%. Direct debit is free of charge.

What is Direct Debit?

Direct debit is a payment system that allows an organisation to instruct their bank to collect varying amounts directly from customers' accounts, using an electronic funds transfer. It requires the customer to give an authorisation to the organisation making the collections. This authorisation is part of the sign-up process.

What is number porting?

Number portability is the ability for a customer to retain their existing phone number(s) when changing their carriage service provider (CSP). This allows consumers to choose between competing CSPs based on price, quality, type of service and (for mobile phone users) coverage without the inconvenience and expense of having to take a new number when moving between providers. You can choose to bring your number to EasyMobiles or take out a brand new one. There is no charge to 'port' and the process generally takes around 2 hours, with your SIM connected for the majority of time so you don't miss any calls.

Once I receive my sim card what do I do?

That’s Easy, once you have received your sim card, all you need to do is contact us on 1300 02 3279. If you are receiving a new number the activation will only take a few minutes and we will provide you with a new number while you are on the phone with us.

Ok...great, but what if I’m porting a number from another network?

Not a problem....Once again all you need to do is call us once you have received your sim. On the the site you would have been asked if you were porting your number from another network and it would have asked you for your date of birth (if you were on pre-pay) or your account number (contract ). If you didn’t give these details online, don’t panic we can do it all over the phone when you call to activate your sim.

What is Partial Monthly Commitment/Pro-rata?

Partial monthly commitment (also known as pro-rata) is a small charge that covers the gap between when you connect and when the next billing cycle starts. For example: If you connect on the 28th and your billing cycle starts on the 1st. The partial monthly commitment covers the cost of the service for the 2 day gap. The amount of the charge is calculated by dividing the monthly commitment by the number of the days in the month and then multiplying the result by the number of day’s gap. It is also important to note that your included value it calculated in the same way.
