Placing an order and using a cart

Our website utilises ‘cart’ technology. Much like a shopping trolley, you simply add items from our site to the trolley and then take them with you to the ‘checkout’. You need to select one each of the talk and text plans to checkout and finalise your order. During checkout you will be required to enter personal information so that we can perform a credit check and set up an account for you. Details of how we use your information can be viewed in the Privacy section below.

Delivery

We aim to have your SIM card delivered to you by post within 5 working days of placing the order. If you do not receive your Easy Welcome Pack within this time, please contact our Service Team on 1300 02 EASY (3279). Our phones are delivered by courier to your nominated address, generally within 3 days. Once you have your phone and SIM, please call us to activate and connect your service.

Security

Our checkout procedure uses an industry-standard encrypted secure system known as SSL ('Secure Socket Layer'). SSL is a protocol for transmitting private documents over the Internet and it is primarily used to obtain confidential user information, such as credit card numbers. SSL works by using a private key to encrypt data that is transferred over the SSL connection. The URL of web pages that use an SSL connection begin with https (instead of http). It encrypts all of your personal information including credit card number, name and address, so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet. This system is far safer than giving your credit card details over the phone, fax or email. When you are using a secure page you will notice a locked padlock symbol in the lower left of the window, indicating that SSL is enabled. We use industry standard 128 bit encryption technology validated by Geotrust, a well-respected Internet company in this field. It is among the best software available today for secure commerce transactions.

Despite the concern about the security of internet shopping in the late 1990s, the vast majority of internet fraud is actually committed against e-commerce sites. It is far more risky to sell goods online than buy online. While the vast majority of our orders are legitimate, we do check very carefully and ask for card ID verification codes as well.
